Prominent Catalan physicist and engineer. Terradas played a key role in the creation of a modern physicist's community in Spain during the first decades of the 20th century. He held doctorates in both physics and mathematics and also received two degrees in engineering. As a university professor in Barcelona and Madrid, he introduced students to relativity and quantum physics at a time when it was not common practice. He was also the driving force behind Einstein's visit to Spain in 1923....
